Abstract:
A base station according to an embodiment constitutes a mobile communication network. The base station is provided with: a controller for performing at least one load distribution control from among first control in which a parameter is set to a value at which switch-over from the mobile communication network to a wireless LAN is easier than at a predetermined value, and second control in which a predetermined wireless terminal from among wireless terminals subordinate to a host base station is handed over; and a transmitter for transmitting, to nearby base stations, status information indicating whether or not the host base station is performing the load distribution control. The parameter is used in order to determine whether or not the wireless terminal subordinate to the host base station switches a standby destination or a connection destination between the mobile communication network and the wireless LAN.
