Abstract:
A base station (200) for a surface cleaning apparatus (100), and a surface cleaning system (10) and a control method. The base station (200) comprises: a cleaning liquid supply portion (210) for storing a cleaning liquid supplied to the surface cleaning apparatus (100); a liquid supply pipeline (240) for conveying the cleaning liquid stored in the cleaning liquid supply portion (210) to the surface cleaning apparatus (100); a base station pump (230) arranged on the liquid supply pipeline (240) for pumping the cleaning liquid stored in the cleaning liquid supply portion (210) to the surface cleaning apparatus (100); and an in-place detection portion (123) for detecting whether the surface cleaning apparatus (100) is docked in place at the base station (200). When the in-place detection portion (123) detects that the surface cleaning apparatus (100) is docked in place at the base station (200), the base station pump (230) is activated such that the base station (200) supplies the cleaning liquid to the surface cleaning apparatus (100) by means of the liquid supply pipeline (240) or pumps the cleaning liquid back from the surface cleaning apparatus (100) to the cleaning liquid supply portion (210) of the base station (200) by means of the liquid supply pipeline (240).
