Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a framework by which both efficient beam selection and reduced power consumption by a terminal device can be achieved. [Solution] A base station is provided with: a selection unit wherein after a first beam appropriate for communication with a terminal device is selected from among a preset plurality of first beams formed by a plurality of antennas on the basis of reception results for a plurality of first reference signals transmitted using the plurality of first beams, the selection unit selects a second beam appropriate for communication with the terminal device from among a plurality of second beams having radiation ranges which are divisions of the radiation range of the selected first beam on the basis of reception results for a plurality of second reference signals transmitted or received using the plurality of second beams; and a notification unit for notifying the terminal device of information indicating the arrangement relationship between a plurality of first resources corresponding to the plurality of first beams for the first reference signals and a plurality of second resources corresponding to the plurality of second beams for the second reference signals.
