Abstract:

The issue is that the number of base stations which remain active to no purpose cannot be reduced, regardless of low-traffic status, and interference between adjacent cells and power consumption cannot be reduced sufficiently as a result. The base stations will control the transmission of control signals according to the communication quality of wireless links between mobile stations and other base stations.
