Abstract:
A base station according to one embodiment supports Full-Dimension MIMO (FD-MIMO). The base station is provided with: an antenna array which has antenna elements arranged in two dimensions, i.e., a horizontal direction and a vertical direction; and a control unit which performs processing for transmitting an individual reference signal that is a reference signal used to measure a channel characteristic in the two dimensions and is generated individually for each wireless terminal. The control unit selects a specific target wireless terminal from among target wireless terminals connected to the base station, and transmits the individual reference signal only to the specific target wireless terminal.
