Abstract:
Provided is a base station to be used in a wireless communication system equipped with a base station and one or more mobile stations for communicating with the base station, the base station having: a receiving unit for receiving, from each of the one or more mobile stations, a signal having a specific random access sequence from among a plurality of random access sequences; and an identification unit which calculates correlating values for the combinations between each of the plurality of random access sequences and each of the plurality of receiving direction signals to which weights corresponding to each of the plurality of receiving directions are applied, and on the basis of the sizes of the plurality of total values obtained by adding up the correlating values of the combinations for each of the plurality of random access sequences, identifies the specific random access sequence from among the plurality of random access sequences, and also identifies the receiving direction in which the signal having the specific random access sequence was received.
