Abstract:
Provided are a base tread rubber member capable of improving low heat generation properties while maintaining tear resistance, and a pneumatic tire which uses the same. Thus, a base tread rubber member comprises a rubber composition which contains, relative to 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber, 10-70 parts by mass of carbon black exhibiting a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 20-80m2/g, 1-10 parts by mass of silica exhibiting a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 80-200m2/g, and 0.1-10 parts by mass of a compound represented by general formula (I) (in the formula, R1 and R2 represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or an alkynyl group, and M+ is Na+, K+ or Li+).
