Abstract:
The invention discloses a basis matrix generating method, a coding/decoding method and an apparatus for LDPC codes and is related to the field of communications, and improves performance of a check matrix that is deformed by a puncturing pattern and thus reducing the probability of resulting decoding errors. More specifically, the basis matrix generating method comprises: determining the size of a check bit part of a basis matrix according to a lowest code rate required; determining the check bit part of the basis matrix according to an initial matrix and the size of the check bit part, wherein the initial matrix is an m×m bidiagonal matrix, and the check bit part is a k-stage transformation matrix H k obtained from performing k transformations on the initial matrix, where k satisfies 2 k-1 m < T ≤ 2 k m and T is the size of the check bit part; determining an information bit part of the basis matrix according to the check bit part; and obtaining the basis matrix on the basis of the check bit part and the information bit part. The invention is used in a coding/decoding process.
