Abstract:
The present invention relates to a bast fibre retting method using Enterobacter gergoviae HL 2006, which is one of several microorganism types found on the surface of hemp, and provides a useful method whereby bast fibres can be retted with superior effect for breaking down pectin and lignin, which is an improvement over conventional techniques for retting fibre.
