Provided is a bathtub handrail (1) that can be attached to and detached from the side wall of a bathtub in a safe and easy manner. A fixed frame (110) and a movable frame (120) are arranged on the side wall of the bathtub. Band-like teeth (130) are formed on the reverse surface (124) of the movable frame (120). A slide latching/unlatching means (140) includes: an engaging member (141) including a convex part; an operation part (143) arranged on the obverse-surface (123) side of the movable frame (120); a connecting part (144) for connecting the engaging member (141) and the operation part (143) to each other; and a spring (145) for urging the engaging member (141) so as to engage with the band-like teeth (130). When the operation part (143) is pushed in, against the urging force from the spring (145), the engaging member (141) separates from the band-like teeth (130). The engaging member (141), having separated from the band-like teeth (130), is housed in a chamber (170). The slide latching/unlatching means (140) is attached to the fixed frame (110). Inclined surfaces (130a, 141a) are formed on the band-like teeth (130) and the engaging member (141).
