A battery assembly according to an embodiment is a battery assembly before being injected with an electrolytic solution, and is provided with, for example: a housing; electrode bodies; a pressure-release valve; and a first liquid injecting portion. The housing includes a first wall portion on which external connection terminals are exposed and a second wall portion intersecting the first wall portion, and is capable of containing an electrolytic solution. The electrode bodies are electrically connected to the external connection terminals, and are contained in the housing. The pressure-release valve is disposed on the first wall portion or the second wall portion, and is released when the pressure in the housing has increased. The first liquid injecting portion is disposed on at least one of the first wall portion and the second wall portion separately from the pressure-release valve, and includes a weakened part. The first liquid injecting portion is configured to release the interior of the housing due to rupture of the weakened part, thereby achieving a state in which the electrolytic solution can be injected.
