Abstract:

The present invention addresses the issue of obtaining the following: a battery block (1) that, with a simple configuration, is capable of equalizing a plurality of battery cell temperatures and that can achieve size and weight reduction; and battery modules (40, 50) using this battery block (1). This battery block (1) has a configuration in which a pair of end plates (5) are disposed at both ends in the array direction of a plurality of battery cells (2), first spacers (3A) are interposed between the plurality of battery cells (2) and second spacers (3B) are interposed between the battery cells (2) and the end plates (5). The first spacer (3A) has a space through which cooling gas flows. The second spacer (3B) has thermal insulating properties that block the flow of cooling gas between the battery cells (2) and the end plates (5), and that also suppress heat transfer between the battery cells (2) and the end plates (5).
