Abstract:
The present invention relates to a battery charging device and a charging control method therefor, the battery charging device comprising: a charging unit for providing a charging voltage for charging a battery; at least one processor for controlling the charging unit; and a variable resistance unit positioned on a charging path so as to adjust a charging capacity provided from the charging unit to the battery, and having a resistance value determined in correspondence to a digital code received from the processor, wherein the processor can correct the digital code outputted to the variable resistance unit according to charging characteristics of the battery monitored during a charging cycle of the battery. Therefore, at least one digital variable resistor is arranged in the charging device so as to enable a flexible and adaptive charging control, and the digital code is corrected through monitoring during a charging process such that an erroneous situation can be improved in real time.
