Abstract:
In order to achieve both a safer use of an electric car and a sufficient use of the original capacity of a battery at the same time, the invention provides a battery charging system and battery charging method that can achieve a better charging precision. The battery charging system of the invention comprises a vehicle (1) and a charger (2). The vehicle (1) comprises: a power interface; a battery (14) that receives a power via the power interface; a current sensor (13) that measures a current supplied to the battery; and a communication means (12) that transmits/receives signals via the power interface. The charger (2) comprises: a power interface; a power supplying means (24) that supplies a power via the power interface; a current sensor (23) that measures a current supplied to the vehicle; and a communication means (22) that transmits/receives signals via the power interface. The battery charging system is characterized in that the charging is started between the charger (2) and the vehicle (1) after the sensor sensitivities of the current sensors (13, 23) are determined.
