Abstract:
Provided is a battery control device with which it is possible to suppress battery deterioration resulting from the effects of an SOCv estimation error. The battery control device is provided with an SOCv calculating unit 151 which calculates a state of charge SOCv on the basis of a temperature and a voltage value of the battery, and an SOCi calculating unit 152 which calculates a state of charge SOCi on the basis of an electric current value of the battery, wherein the battery control device controls charging and discharging of the battery on the basis of a state of charge SOC based on the state of charge SOCv and the state of charge SOCi. Furthermore, the temperature includes a plurality of temperatures measured in a plurality of locations in the battery, and the SOCv calculating unit 151 switches between a first mode in which the calculation of the SOC of the battery is performed on the basis of a first temperature on a high temperature side of the battery, and a second mode in which the calculation of the SOC of the battery is performed on the basis of a second temperature on a low temperature side of the battery, said switching being performed on the basis of a rise or fall in the second temperature.
