Abstract:
This battery control device determines the state of charge of a secondary battery on the basis of a characteristic representing the relationship between the state of charge and voltage of the secondary battery. The battery control device comprises: a retrieval unit for, on the basis of usage history information for the secondary battery, retrieving a first characteristic from a plurality of characteristics stored beforehand; a correction width limit specification unit for specifying a correction width limit defining an allowable correction range for the first characteristic; and a direct detection correction unit for creating a second characteristic by correcting the first characteristic in accordance with the correction width limit on the basis of the current value and voltage value of the secondary battery. The battery control device uses the second characteristic to determine the state of charge of the secondary battery.
