Abstract:
The present application relates to a heat exchanger (26), in particular a battery cooler, comprising: a tube (10) wherein the tube (10) has a tube end portion (12), located on an open end of the tube (10), and at least partially expands with respect to an unexpanded part of the tube (10) farther away from the tube end portion (12); a header (14) having an opening (15) and a radially outer wall (17) wherein the unexpanded part of the tube (10) is inserted through the opening (15); a gasket (16) accommodated by the header (14) so as to be compressed between the tube (10) and the radially outer wall (17) of the header (14); and a tank component (18) connected to the tube end portion (12) through the header (14). According to the present application, the gasket is an O-ring. In addition, the present application relates to a method for assembling such a heat exchanger.
