Abstract:
The present invention provides a battery cooling apparatus comprising: a cooling channel part; a first side cover coupling to one side end part of the cooling channel part; a second side cover coupling to the other side end part of the cooling channel part; and a body part casted so as to cover the cooling channel part, the first side cover and the second side cover by means of a molten casting material by having the cooling channel part, the first side cover and the second side cover inserted in an insert mold, wherein the first side cover comprises a first baffle which is installed in an inflow space, is coupled to one end part of a cooling channel so as to partition the inflow space into a first inflow space and a first change space, and changes the flow of a cooling fluid, and the second side cover comprises a second baffle which is installed in an outflow space, is coupled to the other end part of the cooling channel so as to partition the outflow space into a second outflow space and a second change space, and changes the flow of the cooling fluid. Accordingly, unlike conventional battery cooling apparatuses that undergo a sealing treatment and a bolting operation in order to form a cooling channel, the present invention is casted by extrusion molding the cooling channel part and assembling the first and second side covers, and then insert casting same, and thus the manufacturing thereof is easy and manufacturing costs therefor may be reduced, thereby enabling an economic effect.
