Abstract:
A battery diagnosis method is a method for diagnosing a battery pack including a plurality of battery banks, the battery diagnosis method comprising the steps of: determining, by a battery management system (BMS), the presence of a target battery bank that satisfies a discharge condition among a plurality of battery banks; discharging, by the BMS, the target battery bank detected through the determining step for a certain time; storing, by the BMS, a first bank voltage of the target battery bank before the target battery bank is discharged and a second bank voltage of the target battery bank after the target battery bank is discharged; deriving, by the BMS, a current voltage change amount on the basis of the first bank voltage and the second bank voltage; estimating, by the BMS, a degree of resistance degradation of the target battery bank on the basis of the current voltage change amount and a reference voltage change amount of the target battery bank; and diagnosing, by the BMS, the plurality of battery banks on the basis of degrees of resistance degradation of the plurality of respective battery banks, wherein the discharge condition includes at least one of a bank voltage, a bank temperature, and an idle period of a battery bank.
