Abstract:
A battery diagnostic device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a measuring part configured to measure voltage and temperature of a battery; an ohmic resistance determining part configured to determine an ohmic resistance of the battery on the basis of an impedance profile generated with respect to the battery; and a control part configured to compare the voltage of the battery, which has been measured by the measuring part, with a reference voltage to calculate a voltage variance, compare the ohmic resistance determined by the ohmic resistance determining part with the reference resistance to calculate a resistance change rate, determine a degree of internal gas generation of the battery through magnitude comparison between the calculated resistance change rate and a reference resistance change rate, and determine the cause of internal gas generation of the battery through magnitude comparison between the calculated voltage variance and a reference voltage variance.
