Abstract:
A battery diagnostic device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a measurement unit configured to measure the open-circuit voltage of a battery after charging of the battery has been completed, and measure the resistance of the battery while the battery is being discharged for a prescribed time after the charging of the battery has been completed; and a control unit configured to receive voltage information about the open-circuit voltage and resistance information about the resistance from the measurement unit, calculate the voltage deviation between the open-circuit voltage and a reference voltage set in advance for the battery, calculate the resistance deviation between the resistance and a reference resistance set in advance for the battery, and diagnose, on the basis of the voltage deviation and the resistance deviation, whether degradation of the battery has accelerated.
