Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a battery and an electric device. The battery comprises: a box body, comprising an electrical cavity; a battery cell, accommodated in the electrical cavity, and a pressure relief mechanism being provided on a first wall of the battery cell; and a discharge passage, configured to be communicated with the interior of the battery cell via the pressure relief mechanism when the pressure relief mechanism is actuated. The battery satisfies the equation: 0.05 wh/(kg·°C)≤a/b≤25 wh/(kg·°C), a is the weight energy density of the battery cell, and b is the melting point of a target structure used to form the discharge passage. According to the battery and the electric device in the embodiments of the present application, the safety performance of the battery can be improved.
