Abstract:
[Problem] There has been a three-layer membrane electrode assembly which is for a fuel cell or a water electrolysis hydrogen generator, and in which an electrode is formed by preparing one type of an electrode slurry, directly applying the slurry to form a single layer thereof on an electrolyte membrane using a roll, a slot nozzle, or the like or causing the slurry to be laminated using a spray or the like, and drying same. It has been difficult to form a mesoporous electrode or the like, because, although liquid membrane application using a slot nozzle can be performed quickly, the surface area of especially a cathode electrode of a fuel cell cannot be enlarged. Meanwhile, there has been a significant problem in that, although a spray application method can be used for forming a mesoporous electrode or the like, the production speed is slow and the coating efficiency of an expensive electrode catalyst is low. [Solution] The present invention is for forming a high-performance electrode of a porous structure having a large electrode surface area by ensuring high coating efficiency and high speed by means of a liquid membrane application device, and sequentially, by causing particles to enter a liquid membrane by means of a particle generation device and causing the membrane to be laminated, as necessary.
