Abstract:
This battery fire extinguishing device for preventing heat from spreading throughout a battery pack when a fire occurs in some battery modules, comprises: a plurality of fire extinguishing liquid storage parts located inside a plurality of battery modules, respectively, and configured to discharge the fire extinguishing liquid by heating; a plurality of resistance parts adjacent to the fire extinguishing liquid storage parts, respectively; and a control circuit that monitors the voltage across both ends of the plurality of resistance parts and, when the voltage is higher than a reference voltage, increases the current flowing through each of the plurality of resistance parts.
