Abstract:
The present invention relates to a battery life prediction device and method capable of more accurately predicting battery life by removing an error due to a characteristic of temporary capacity recovery that occurs intermittently in battery charge/discharge test data. The battery life prediction device of the present invention comprises: a capacity recovery period determination unit for analyzing battery charge/discharge test data so as to determine a temporary capacity recovery period; a trend analysis unit for, with respect to a period determined as a temporary capacity recovery period by the capacity recovery period determination unit, generating alternative data on the basis of test data before and after the temporary capacity recovery period and analyzing a trend of the test data by reflection of the alternative data; and a life prediction unit for predicting the life of the battery on the basis of data output from the trend analysis unit.
