Abstract:

A battery management apparatus according to an embodiment disclosed in the present document may comprise: a sensor for generating information on the occurrence of a fire; and a controller for controlling the charging of a battery on the basis of a power source supplied from a charger to charge the battery, monitoring information on the occurrence of the fire on the basis of the power source supplied from the charger to monitor the fire, when the battery has been completely charged, and determining whether a fire has occurred on the basis of the monitoring result.
