Abstract:
The present invention appropriately performs battery charging and discharging control without measuring cooling water temperature and environment temperature. A battery management device 102 manages a battery that can be charged and discharged, and is provided with a temperature parameter adjustment unit 502 for adjusting a temperature parameter used in estimating battery temperature. The temperature parameter adjustment unit 502 adjusts the temperature parameter when the battery temperature rises. The battery management device 102 is also provided with: a temperature prediction unit 503 for predicting a future battery temperature on the basis of the temperature parameter adjusted by the temperature parameter adjustment unit 502; and a current limit value calculation unit 504 for calculating the allowable values of battery charging and discharging currents on the basis of the future battery temperature predicted by the temperature prediction unit 503.
