Abstract:
A battery management device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an inflection point extraction unit for extracting an inflection point from a battery profile representing a change in voltage of a battery over time; and a control unit for determining, for the battery, a target voltage, a target temperature and a target current amount corresponding to the inflection point, determining a reference voltage corresponding to the target temperature and the target current amount in a preset voltage table, and diagnosing whether lithium plating occurs in the battery on the basis of the reference voltage and the target voltage.
