Abstract:
The present invention relates to a battery management device for balancing the states of charge of multiple battery cells while maintaining, at a reference temperature or lower, the substrate temperature of a substrate in which individual balancing resistors of the multiple battery cells are mounted. According to the present invention, the duty cycle of a balancing switch is controlled to allow the substrate temperature to be maintained at the reference temperature or lower, so that components included in the battery management device can be prevented from being overheated and burned due to heat generated during a balancing process.
