Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for managing a battery charging process for an autonomous power tool. In aspects, an autonomous power tool detects a charging error condition during a charging process, and suspends the charging process in response to detecting the charging error condition. Suspending the charging process includes disabling a charging line configured to deliver a charging current to a battery of the autonomous power tool to prevent the charging current from being delivered to the battery, and maintaining a power input, using a bypass line, to a control unit (MCU) configured to control the charging process. The charging process is resumed when the charging error condition is determine to be corrected, and continues until the battery is fully charged. In some aspects, an alert may be sent to a user (e.g., a visual, audio, and/or remote signal (e.g., to an application running on a user device)).
