Abstract:
A battery management unit and a battery management system including the same are disclosed. The battery management unit comprises: a sensing unit, which is electrically connected to a plurality of battery cells, detects the voltage of each of the plurality of battery cells and outputs a detection signal including voltage information indicating the detected voltage; a first power supply unit for generating a first operating voltage by using a module voltage of the battery module; and a communication unit, which operates using the first operating voltage, includes an antenna, a wireless communication circuit and a first input port, receives the detection signal from the sensing unit through the first input port, performs a test on at least one predetermined item on the basis of the detection signal and outputs, through the antenna and the wireless communication circuit, an RF signal indicating a result of the test.
