Abstract:
The present invention relates to a battery module and a method for manufacturing a heat dissipating member, the battery module comprising: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of pouch-type battery cells are stacked; a battery module housing for accommodating the battery cell stack; and the heat dissipating member formed to be coupled to a part of the battery module housing, wherein the heat dissipating member has a through hole formed in a heat dissipating plate facing the battery cell stack, and a sealing member is provided in the through hole. The volume expansion of the battery module can be minimized, and thermal runaway of an ignited battery cell can be effectively prevented.
