Abstract:
The present invention provides a battery module, having a bus bar, which enables enhanced weldability between a bus bar and an electrode terminal of a cylindrical battery cell, increased heat dissipation efficiency and reduction of current loss. In order to attain said purpose, the battery module according to the present invention comprises: cylindrical battery cells; a module housing; and a bus bar. The bus bar comprises: a body part which is positioned above or below the plurality of cylindrical battery cells and has a plate shape, the top and bottom surfaces of which are relatively wider than the surface in the horizontal direction; and a connection part electrically contact-connected to an electrode terminal formed on one of the plurality of cylindrical battery cells, extending and protruding in the horizontal direction from the body part, stepped from the body part in the direction toward the electrode terminal, and provided with a branched structure split bilaterally with respect to the direction of protrusion, wherein the branched structure has a protrusion protruding in the direction toward the electrode terminal and is provided with a contact region for forming electrical connection with a welding rod in the periphery of the protrusion in the branched structure.
