Abstract:
Disclosed is a battery module for improving the cooling efficiency of a plurality of secondary batteries accommodated therein. To this end, the battery module according to the present invention comprises: a cell assembly having a plurality of secondary batteries and a plurality of heat dissipation plates, which are interposed between the plurality of secondary batteries, have an inlet portion and an outlet portion that are formed by the indentation of at least a portion of a front end portion and a rear end portion thereof such that a refrigerant flows from the outside or is discharged to the outside, and include a refrigerant moving part having a moving space formed at the front end, the upper end, the lower end, and the rear end of each of the secondary batteries such that the refrigerant moves; a busbar assembly, which has a plurality of busbars electrically connected to an electrode lead provided on each of the plurality of secondary batteries, and a busbar frame having an insertion hole into which the electrode lead is to be inserted; an end cover having a vent hole communicating with the refrigerant moving part such that the refrigerant flows from the outside or is discharged from the inside to the outside; and a plurality of side plates.
