Abstract:
A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention is characterized by comprising: at least one battery cell; a module case for accommodating the at least one battery cell; at least one escape prevention pocket, provided inside the module case, for preventing flames or sparks from escaping during an abnormal state of the at least one battery cell; and a fire-extinguishing agent spray unit which is provided in the at least one escape prevention pocket and discharges a fire-extinguishing agent into the module case during an abnormal state.
