Abstract:
A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a module frame having inserted therein a battery cell stack which is a stack of a plurality of battery cells; end plates covering the front and rear surfaces of the battery cell stack and coupled to the module frame; and a cell terrace assembly positioned between the battery cell stack and end plates. A venting part is formed on a lateral part of the module frame, and the part on which the venting part is formed is closer to the cell terrace assembly than the battery cell stack.
