Abstract:

A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: battery cells having electrode leads; and a connection member for connecting the battery cells, wherein the battery cells comprise a first battery group arranged such that battery cells are disposed side-by-side in a first direction, and a second battery group arranged such that electrode leads are located facing the first battery group and battery cells are disposed side-by-side in the first direction, the connection member is located between the first and the second battery group, the electrode leads of the battery cells are respectively connected to the connection member, an electrode lead of any one battery cell of the first battery group is in contact with any one of an upper surface or a lower surface of the connection member, while an electrode lead of a battery cell of the second battery group located facing the any one battery cell is in contact with the other one of the upper surface or the lower surface of the connection member.
