Abstract:
Disclosed is a battery module in which coupling components between cartridges are removed or the number of the components is reduced, thereby having a simple structure, advantages of reduced size and reduced weight, superior ease of assembly and strong resistance to impact and vibration. The battery module according to the present invention can comprise: a plurality of pouch type secondary cells arranged in the left and right directions in a form of being erected in the vertical direction; a plurality of cartridges accommodating the pouch type secondary cells in the inner space thereof, and mutually stacked in the left and right directions; and a housing provided at a side surface of a front end side and/or a rear end side of the cartridges so as to be coupled and fixed to two or more cartridges.
