Abstract:
This battery module is provided with a plurality of element batteries. The element batteries each have one end on which a positive pole terminal and a negative pole terminal are arranged. The plurality of element batteries are arrayed with the one ends arranged on the same side, and form battery blocks comprising rows of element batteries adjacent to each other. An electrically insulating plate is disposed over the one ends of the plurality of arrayed element batteries. The plate includes holes in which the positive pole terminals and negative pole terminals of the element batteries are exposed, and has a plurality of electrically conductive members disposed over a surface thereof on the opposite side from the surface opposing the element batteries. The electrically conductive members extend along the rows of the element batteries of the battery blocks. Two electrically conductive members are disposed with respect to each battery block. The electrically conductive members are provided with terminal connecting portions which are connected via the holes to the terminals of the same polarity of the element batteries included in each battery block.
