The present application relates to the technical field of energy storage devices, and in particular relates to a battery module. The battery module comprises: side plates and a bottom plate, with at least one of the bottom plate and the side plates comprising a main body portion and a flanging portion connected to an edge of the main body portion in a bent manner; and end plates, with each of the end plates comprising an inner plate and an outer plate, the inner plate being fixedly connected to both the bottom plate and the side plates, the outer plate being located between the inner plate and the flanging portions, and the flanging portion being fixed to a surface of a side, facing away from the inner plate, of the outer plate. When a battery expands, the side plates can better limit the degree of expansion of the battery by means of fixation of the flanging portions and the end plates, and the problem of connection invalidation caused by an expansion force of the battery does not easily appear at a connection position of the side plates and the end plate, so that the overall battery module can better resist the expansion force of the battery, vibrations, mechanical compaction, etc. Therefore, the battery module is higher in structural strength and reliability.
