Abstract:
This battery module (100) is provided with: a battery laminate body which comprises, laminated in a first direction, multiple batteries provided respective valves that eject gas; a discharge path through which the gas emitted from the aforementioned valves is discharged in a second direction which intersects the first direction; a light emitting unit (50) which is provided on one end of the battery laminate body in the first direction and which emits light towards the discharge path; and a light receiving unit (60) which is provided on the other end of the battery laminate body in the first direction and which receives light emitted from the light emission unit (50).
