Abstract:
This battery monitoring device comprises an abnormality determination unit (8) which controls the on/off of a plurality of short-circuit switches and determines whether or not an abnormality has occurred in a detection line. It is assumed that one among adjacent battery cells is a first battery cell, the short-circuit switch corresponding to the first battery cell is a first switch, the other battery cell among the adjacent battery cells is a second battery cell, and the short-circuit switch corresponding to the second battery cell is a second switch. The abnormality determination unit executes on/off control for controlling the second switch to be turned off again after the second switch is switched from off to on in a state where the first switch is turned off, detects the voltage of the first battery cell and the voltage of the second battery cell before and after performing the on/off control, and determines an abnormality of the detection line on the basis of the detected four voltage values.
