Abstract:
Provided is a battery monitoring device (51) that monitors a plurality of unit cells (63) in a battery pack (60) installed in a vehicle, said battery monitoring device (51) having a battery ECU (10) and voltage monitors (20). The battery ECU (10) wirelessly transmits an instruction. A voltage monitor (20) is installed in each battery block (62) obtained by dividing the plurality of unit cells (63) into groups, and detects voltage information of the unit cells (63) and wirelessly transmits the voltage information to the battery ECU (10). The battery monitoring device (51) comprises monitor startup devices (10, 20) that start up the voltage monitors (20) with a staggered timing in a prescribed sequence recognized by the battery ECU (10). Each voltage monitor (20) wirelessly communicates with the battery ECU (10) and is assigned an ID in the start-up sequence.
