Abstract:
In the present invention, individual detection units (7, 8, 32) are provided corresponding to each of a plurality of battery modules (3, 4, 35-38) formed from a portion of battery cells, and synchronously detect the voltages and currents of the battery cells forming the corresponding battery modules. A current detection unit (16) is provided independently from the battery modules, and detects, with higher precision than the individual detection units, current flowing to the battery cells. A control unit (11) carries out communication between the individual detection units and the current detection unit, and acquires individual voltage values and individual current values for the battery cells, as detected by the individual detection units, and a reference current value which is a detected value of the current of the battery cells, as detected by the current detection unit. The control unit carries out gain correction to correct the gain of a detected value with respect to the individual current values by using the reference current value as a reference, and estimates a charge state of the battery cells by using the individual voltage values and a corrected current value, which is the current value after the correction thereof.
