Abstract:

This battery-monitoring unit (1) has a control chip (10), a CPU (20), and a load circuit (30). Inside said battery-monitoring unit (1), the CPU (20) and the control chip (10), i.e. a control circuit, are connected to a shared internal ground (GND2). The load circuit (30) is connected to a power ground (P-GND) that is different from said internal ground (GND2). Inside the battery-monitoring unit (1), the power ground (P-GND) and the internal ground (GND2) are connected to each other via a diode (50). The internal ground (GND2) and the power ground (P-GND) are connected to the same external ground (GND1) via a wire that extends from a first ground terminal (41) and a wire that extends from a second ground terminal (42), respectively. This prevents the functionality of the battery-monitoring unit from being lost if a break occurs in a wire between the battery-monitoring unit and the external ground.
