A battery mounting structure and an electric bicycle having the same are provided. The battery mounting structure comprises a base frame (1), and a battery frame (21) for mounting the batteries. The base frame (1) is rotatablely connected to a mounting seat (22) through a first rotating shaft. One of the mounting seat (22) and the battery frame (21) is provided with a slot, and the other has an insert block (24). The insert block (24) is inserted into the slot removably. A locking mechanism is disposed between the battery frame (21) and the base frame (1). Since the mounting seat (22) is connected with the base frame (1) through the first rotating shaft, when the battery frame (21) is mounted, first, one end of the battery frame (21) is inserted into the mounting seat (22), next, the battery frame (21) is rotated to a suitable position around the first rotating shaft along with the mounting seat (22), and then, the battery frame (21) is locked into the base frame (1) through the locking mechanism, such that the battery frame (21) is fixed on the base frame (1). The mounting position on the base frame (1) where the battery frame (21) is mounted is less restricted, and the mounting operation is convenience.
