Disclosed in the present invention are a battery pack for an electric vehicle, and an electric vehicle comprising the battery pack. The battery pack for an electric vehicle is mounted on a vehicle body longitudinal beam of the electric vehicle, and comprises: a box body comprising at least two box body units, battery modules for externally charging and discharging being arranged in the box body units; and locking shafts provided horizontally, arranged on the upper part between two adjacent box body units, and corresponding to the position of a locking mechanism on the vehicle body longitudinal beam. According to the battery pack for an electric vehicle, the center of gravity of the electric vehicle can be reduced, the driving stability of the electric vehicle is improved, and the height space below the vehicle body longitudinal beam can be fully utilized, so that a battery swapping device can conduct battery swapping at the bottom of the electric vehicle, the station building cost, time and difficulty of a battery swapping station are reduced, the requirement for a station building site is reduced, and the battery swapping efficiency is improved.
