Abstract:
In this battery pack for an electric vehicle, since a cooling air intake (48a) is provided facing the direction of circulation of cooling air for a battery case (24) and in the vicinity of the end part of the battery case on the downstream side in the circulation direction, the cooling air makes adequate contact with the battery case (24) before flowing into the cooling air intake (48a). Dust and moisture included in the cooling air are thereby caused to adhere to the battery case (24) and are removed, and the dust and moisture can be prevented from penetrating into the battery case (24). In particular, since the battery case (24) is provided with a protruding part (39a) for impeding the circulation of cooling air, the protruding part being erected upstream from the cooling air intake (48a) in the circulation direction, and the top end of the protruding part (39a) is positioned higher than the top end of the cooling air intake (48a), the cooling air is reliably brought into contact with the protruding part (39a) of the battery case (24), and dust and moisture can be removed more effectively.
