Abstract:
In this battery pack for an electric vehicle, a battery case (24) for housing a plurality of batteries (42) and an electric device (28) which electrically connects the batteries is constituted of: a battery tray (38) that supports the batteries (42) and the electric device (28); and a battery cover (39) that is joined to the battery tray (38) and covers the upper side of the batteries (42) and the electric device (28). A heat-shielding member (39g) provided between the electric device (28) and the battery (42) arranged adjacent thereto extends downward toward the battery tray (38) from the inner lower surface of the battery cover (39). Thus, the heat-shielding member (39g) effectively blocks air that has risen upward inside the battery cover (39) by being heated by the electric device (28), which reaches high temperatures, and the heated air can be prevented from contacting the batteries (42) and raising the temperatures thereof.
