Abstract:

The present invention prevents cascading thermal runaway between a plurality of secondary battery cells arranged side-by-side horizontally. Cylindrical first battery cells (1A) and cylindrical second battery cells (1B) which are connected to each other in series and/or in parallel are accommodated side-by-side such that the respective cylindrical side surfaces face each other. A battery pack (100) is provided with: a long partition plate (30) which is disposed at interfaces between the mutually facing-cylindrical side surfaces of the first secondary battery cells (1A) and the second secondary battery cells (1B) accommodated in an inner space of the accommodation case (10), and thereby insulates these secondary battery cells; a lead plate (22) which crosses the long partition plate (30) and electrically connects end surfaces of the first secondary battery cells (1A) and the second secondary battery cells (1B); and a short partition plate (40) which crosses the long partition plate (30) while overlapping with the lead plate (22) and covers the end surfaces of the first secondary battery cells (1A) and the second secondary battery cells (1B), wherein a long-side slit (32) for passing the short partition plate (40) and the lead plate (22) while the plates overlap with each other is formed in the long partition plate (30).
